Silver Jews to actually play Live: St. Patty's Day

No, no, no. Berman, the guy from the Silver Jews, lives like 200 yards behind my back door; we’re in the same neighborhood and we’re all buddies. He never tours. He will never play live. So it’s any easy thing to share. Unless we can talk him into touring. We’re going to try real hard ‘cause the new Silver Jews album is spectacular and we just got to get him out. - Bobby Bare Jr.

I'm not the biggest Silver Jews fan, but I do know that getting Berman to perform live is a rarity. They'll hit the Webster Hall on March 17th... for a penny shy of $20. Tickets on sale tomorrow. Thanks Julseas.

I guess not even Moby fans are biting at those tickets for the Bowery Ballroom tonight. Has his star fallen that much?

i used to be a moby fan and went to the show. i remember now why i'm no longer a fan. it was filled with middle aged wierdos ( not that all middle aged people are wierd) just current moby fans. moby and his "band" bastardized every song that i loved when moby was *techno* moby. case in point: Feeling So Real (rave classic) was done in a "loungey jazz" style. I think I was the only one there who not only yelled for "Go," but had actually heard the song. Talk about walking away from your roots. moby needs to put down his guitar and get back behind the keyboards and drum machine. i do like his bottled Teany teas though. you should try them.
