Vote for the Plug Awards; Line-Up Rumours

The Plug Awards will be hitting Webster Hall on Ground Hog's Day, Febuary Second, 2-0-0-6. Although I'm not a National fan, I still might give them a third try to impress me. Holy Fuck and Beans are also on the bill, and while I missed them at CMJ to lounge downstairs between Cribs and Devendra, I hear they stunned all who saw.

I just got word that the unconfirmed artists they are looking at are good... REALLY good... performers we've been hearing RAVES about, but that I havent been able to see yet. Keep an eye on that line-up, because it has a lot of promise. My lips are sealed.

In the meantime, vote your hearts away for your favorite acts to win the Plug Awards. Vote here.

In other news:

Hard-Fi (remember them?) will play the Bowery Ballroom on January 17th. They are not nominated for a Plug, but were nominated for a Mercury (and lost). Tickets on sale tomorrow.

I still like "Cash Machine," dammit.

There should be some catch-all collective for Last Week's Brit Bands. Some sort of post-hype guaranteed employment.

Broken-Too-Hard Social Scene.

Ahhh... that makes sense. I was asked what kind of pull he has, and I didn't know at all. They might also have Langhorne Slim play.
