that being the case - Taylor did a great job last night but Katharine is still my favorite. Muruch has been covering the past few AmIdol shows on her blog and you can see Talor's performance from last night at Rickey's blog right HERE.
aww I thought Katharine was AWFUL. that first 30 seconds she looked like a deer in headlights, so awkward.
maybe it was just the song. i'm not sure.
or maybe i'm just so taken by taylor. probably.
Thanks so much for posting this. I was out watching a 50-year-old man in a belly shirt and refuse to tape American Idol.
I'm shocked -- in a good way -- that Hicks is still in the thing (and has even been picked by some as the frontrunner). It's weird watching him go through the packaging process -- the clothing to make him "younger," the "hold you hand to your ear so it looks like practical, not twitchy." Though I like my Hicks old and twitchy.
I'll throw a couple quarters into that guys hat, some day, fer shure.
I agree, J. They are really trying to hone Taylor's image.
I really think everyone last night was friggin atrocious, except for maybe Taylor and Elliott. Katharine WAS awful. Simon was thinking with the wrong head when he fawned all over her performance.
well heck yeah Katharine was awful, they all were except Elliot and Taylor. i can't believe she was in the bottom two though. i better start voting.
taylor's got rock, taylor's got soul. my generation x friends and family love him, my baby boomer friends and me love him. my grandchildren even love him.he's the bomb!!

Taylor Hicks won because he had so much more personality and charisma then the others. I knew he was someone to reckon with after he performed the song "Trouble"
Taylor Hicks deserved to win! Like he said, he was portrayed on the "Idol" show as a "wedding singer" but in reality, he is , in fact, a whole lot more! Just listen to his new single, a Taylorized song that is music to anyone's ears!
