New Youth Group
Youth Group's sophomore album is out in Australia. I'm still running through it for the first time, but I rememer this song from their live show and remember mouthing Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" over the chorus. You will too.

The similarities are too close to ignore. It would almost be a good song otherwise. Maybe it wouldn't be bothersome if the very next song didn't start off sounding like Radiohead's "High and Dry."

just a couple of notes... CTD is YGs third album... tho' yr prolly not aware of their debut, Urban&Eastern, as i don't think it was ever released in the states (?).
secondly, the more you listen to 'let it go' the less it sounds like dylan. its funny you should offer up 'daisychain' as an alternative as this song sounded more dylanesque in its first incarnation, a b-side on the 'someone elses dream' ep (uk import).
i have to say that i do think that daisychains DOES sound a lot like high and dry... in fact that's how i found this blog... i googled it to see if anyone else found the similarities....
yup... daisychains sounds exactly like high and dry....
notice all youth group melodies cadence fa-mi-do.
