And the Nominees are... the 2006 Weblogs choices kinda blow
So many categories this year. Here are your 2006 nominees for Best Music Blog for the 2006 Weblog Awards. The prize is a pink ribon [you wish]. I've heard of exactly three of these websites.
Best Music Blog
Twangville
Sterogum [sic]
David Gilmour (?!?!?)
Nothing But Green Lights
i guess i'm floating
Blogcritics Music
Ryan's Smashing Life (who?)
...your home for SOUL
Glorious Noise
My Old Kentucky Blog
Of those, I don't even routinely visit that third [iGiF]. So my vote is for either "Sterogum" or Dodge. On the one hand, the SGummers are already everyone's favorite pound puppies; but on the other, Amrit and Scotty are still entertaining [even since they started blogging from the 18th green]. Dodge is cool too I suppose... despite those football posts being a chore to scroll past.
Yet, in the end, I think my vote must go to that David Gilmour. Who can compete with Pink is the New Floyd?

On name alone, I'm going with "Twangville." It sounds like the Country & Western amusement park Sid & Marty Krofft never got to realize.
Hey, look! It's a talking mechanical bull!
Thanks for linking over. Talk a stroll around the RSL page. I think you will understand why I have been named a finalist. This is a contemporary award - not a life time achievement blog award. It's about what' happening right here and now in 2006. I am honored to be listed and I work my ass of on my blog.
Best regards from Boston

Looks like we're shut out... bastards.
And what is up with that Ryan guy?
Truthfully I don't know who I'd want to see nominated. It's probably a good way to discover new sites I guess -except I only really read about 4 blogs.
Good luck Ryan. I just have a thing against center-justification. I look to pick fights with bloggers because I'm bored.
i heard david gilmour is gerard.
JK - "What' up with that Ryan guy?"
me - "Hi. What do you want to know?"
Goddamn democracy, always impeding my ability to vote Yeti Don't Dance for things.
Hey, I'm one of the writers from twangville, and sadly, we have no talking mechanical bull. However, we do have plenty of other fun things going on and and interesting mix of writers. If you dig americana, I can almost promise you'll enjoy it. Thanks for the link!
football rules yeti.
