I'm From Barcelona finally in NYC

Blonde Redhead and I’m From Barcelona both played MacCarren Pool yesterday, and while it was my first time seeing them each, it won’t be my last. Especially I’m From Barcelona [website / myspace] who are also playing Southpaw tonight. The party on stage reignited my zest for their album [my 18th favorite of 2006]. Created with 29 members –each with a varying degree of participation- the album comes alive because they brought (almost) the entire extended band to the States.

So if you are around tonight, go see them at Southpaw. Tickets amazingly are still on sale.
